How a player's phase-specific batting changes by venue. Captures venue characteristics (dew, pitch type, ground dimensions) implicitly.

Period: IPL 2026. Sample-size floor: ≥30 balls faced. Suppressed cells render the URI with the parent L1 link instead of metrics.

Conditioning dimensions

venue — slugified venue name from the fixture metadata.
phase — same definitions as above.

Sample-size floor + rationale

≥30 balls faced per cell.

Venue × phase has thin samples per player; 30 ball minimum keeps "Kohli at Chinnaswamy in powerplay" from being claimed on 12 balls.

Suppression rule

Standard L2 contract. SPARSEST conditioning of the MVP: only ~9.6% of cells clear the 30-ball floor in the Phase A corpus; the vast majority of cells surface as suppressed URIs.

Known limitations

Most-granular MVP cell — most players play 1-2 venues per season, so cells unsuppress slowly. Phase B period widening produces the biggest gain here.
Venue characteristics (dew, pitch type) are implicit in the cell. No explicit "wet ball" or "spin track" tags.
