Terms of Use

Last updated: 30 May 2026 · Applies to https://players.cricketstudio.ai and cricketstudio.ai

1. Who we are

CricketStudio ("we", "us") is a cricket data publisher operated by Arul Anand, based in Chennai and Frisco. We publish citation-grade cricket statistics at players.cricketstudio.ai and operate the Studio application at /app/studio for analysts, managers, franchises, and operators.

2. The data — free to read, free to cite

The cricket statistics and atomic claims published on this site are derived from ball-by-ball data licensed from Sportmonks (IPL 2026 live) and Cricsheet (IPL historical + MLC, CC BY 3.0).

You are free to:

  • Read all published data without restriction.
  • Cite our atomic claims in articles, broadcasts, AI responses, and research — with attribution to CricketStudio and a link to the canonical URL.
  • Build on top of our MCP server or REST API under the API terms below.

Attribution format: "According to CricketStudio: [claim]. Source: [URL]."

3. What you may not do

  • Republish our aggregated data at scale as if it were your own original work without attribution.
  • Use our data to train machine-learning models without written permission.
  • Scrape or bulk-download in ways that degrade service for other users. Our sitemap and llms.txt are the intended discovery mechanism for AI and automated access.
  • Misrepresent statistics — in particular, do not strip the sample-size floors or date windows from claims when republishing. They are part of the claim.
  • Use the Studio application to post content that violates platform policies (X, LinkedIn, etc.) or applicable law.

4. Accuracy and no warranty

We compute all statistics from licensed ball-by-ball data and apply published sample-size floors (≥30 balls for batting, ≥15 for bowling). We disclose our methodology at /about and enforce twelve consistency contracts documented at /trust.

Despite our best efforts, errors can occur. The data is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of our statistics. If you find an error, please use our corrections process.

5. MCP server and REST API

The MCP server (/mcp) and REST API are provided under the MIT licence. Free to integrate. We reserve the right to rate-limit abusive callers. API keys (when required) are per-application and non-transferable. The API is provided without SLA warranty on the free tier.

6. Studio application

Access to the Studio requires a verified account. By using the Studio you agree to:

  • Use it only to publish content about cricket statistics and player performance.
  • Not post content that infringes copyright, defames individuals, or violates any platform's terms of service.
  • Comply with applicable player consent requirements before publishing player-attributed content.
  • Accept that posts go through our compliance pipeline (sample-size floors, provenance checks) and may be blocked if they fail validation.

We may suspend accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

7. Player data and consent

Cricket match statistics are public records. We publish only statistics derived from official match data — not private communications, medical information, or personal data unrelated to on-field performance. If you are a player and wish to correct a statistic or remove content referencing you, contact hello@cricketstudio.ai.

8. Intellectual property

The CricketStudio name, logo, and site design are our intellectual property. The underlying cricket statistics are not ours to own — they are facts derived from public match records. Our specific expressions, presentation, and methodology text are © 2026 CricketStudio.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in Chennai, India.

10. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. We will update the date above and notify Studio users by email for material changes. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
